Peter Dressel's Story
“YOUR WEBSITE IS THE GENERAL HUB OF YOUR BUSINESS” - Pavel K
Introduction:
The journey into digital marketing is often sparked by a need for change and a desire for growth. My story is no different. From pursuing a career in aviation to building a thriving digital marketing business, my path has been shaped by curiosity, determination, and adaptability. This narrative outlines the key moments that led me to discover my passion for helping businesses grow through innovative marketing strategies. It’s a story of challenges, learning, and relentless perseverance.

Lets go over my story
1. What Was Before Digital Marketing
In 2022, before I got into digital marketing, I was living in Florida getting my pilot's license. I lived down there for a few months working on getting my private, instrument, and commercial licenses. After a while, I realized I was either going to have to take out a loan or figure out a way to make more money. Knowing that, I headed back to La Crosse, Wisconsin, where I'm from, and started thinking of ways to make money.
I wasn't sure how I was going to do that, so I kept flying at the La Crosse & Eau Claire Airport for a couple of months. I ended up soloing in a plane in the spring of 2023, and that's when I realized I needed money immediately to pay for this.
2. How & Why I Chose Digital Marketing
Knowing that I needed to make money so I could keep flying, I ended up watching numerous videos on what makes people rich. I started with donating plasma, but ultimately, every video led to sales, so I figured I would start somewhere selling something. I had a motorcycle at the time, so I figured I would start a page to maybe start a clothing line or affiliate links. Both were things I could sell if I built an audience. I ended up watching 40+ hours on how to grow on TikTok and scaled my page (@motopeterdressel) to over 10k followers inside of 30 days and 13k by the end of 3 months. That ended up not working, and I made no money.
In the fall of 2023, I learned about drop shipping and built a website. I wasn't new to that sort of thing, as I had taken a couple of classes on it. My Shopify website went live, and I made 3-4 sales over a month selling blankets, so I knew that wasn't going to work. I did end up enjoying building the website, so I built one for a family friend who owns AMV Products and offered to sell it. He did not want it, and that was very discouraging. I thought it wasn't going to work. My mom told me not to give up and reminded me that B2B is hard. I also had a lot of people tell me that.
In January 2024, my job let me go, so I realized I needed to start selling websites to businesses. I knew I needed to get an understanding of B2B sales, so I watched hundreds of hours of sales and marketing videos over the next 3 months. During those 3 months, I needed to sell something, so I started a car detailing business and paid my car payment with that. I would watch these videos at the gym, while driving, etc. After about five months, I made my first sale, and it felt amazing. It was then I knew I hadn't wasted my time. The domino effect took place from there.
3. My Journey So Far (Jan 2025)
It's been a year since I tried selling that first website, and inside this year, I have done a couple of hundred hours of research on web development and other types of digital marketing such as SEM, PPC, SEO, Facebook Ads, etc. I also learned new business management systems such as automations, CRM, chat bots, AI employees, email & SMS marketing, etc. I have mastered each of these campaigns to help scale any type or size of business. With that said, I joined a few courses on web development, design components, SEO, content marketing, and a few others. I hoped to learn more about something I maybe did not fully understand before. Now, when I walk into a business, I don't limit myself to website development.
4. The Mission
My goal is to scale and help as many businesses as I can. I love working with businesses and seeing them grow or manage their sales more easily. It genuinely brings me joy. I plan on making this business bigger and better. I would love to hire developers and sales reps. If I could put good jobs on the market, it would make me feel great about myself and the work I have done.
Once I can put this business on autopilot, I will go back to flying recreationally because it is very peaceful.
